Here Candace is showing you the proper way to do a squat using the smith machine. Keeping the feet hip width apart, slightly forward.

Unhook the smith machine making sure the stoppers are in the right position, tilt your head upward and extend your hips back to get a great stretch backward which is key to building up those glute and leg muscles.

Lower as low as possible for your strength level making sure not to allow the knees to go beyond your toes.
